ToolMatch ("the app", "we") is a tool-recommendation assistant available inside ChatGPT. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles. We have designed it to collect as little as possible.
The only application input accepted by find_tools is the text query
you (or ChatGPT on your behalf) send: a plain-language description of the task or tool you are
looking for. A query may contain personal information if you choose to type it, so please do not
include names, addresses, credentials, confidential information, or other sensitive data.
Your query is used to search our curated catalog of AI and SaaS tools and to generate a short explanation of why each result fits your need. When semantic LLM ranking is enabled, the query text is sent through 9Router (Botstack), our configured API processor, which routes it to the configured LLM provider for semantic category selection, ranking, and wording. When that feature is disabled or unavailable, matching runs locally against the catalog and the query is not sent to those processors. These processors receive the query only to fulfil the current request. ToolMatch does not use query content for advertising or to build a user profile.
To review ranking quality and reliability, ToolMatch keeps a limited operational audit record that can include the query text, request language, timing, match status, and up to three public result summaries. This record is not a user profile and is not used for advertising. MCP request access logging is disabled on our reverse proxy, but operational error logs may record an error type and timestamp. Our LLM processors may retain request data under their own service terms and policies; do not submit sensitive or confidential information.
We do not sell, rent, or share query data for advertising. Query content is disclosed to 9Router (Botstack) and the configured LLM provider described in section 2 when needed to answer the request, to service providers that host or protect the application when needed to operate it, or when disclosure is required by law.
ToolMatch returns links to app detail or app search pages inside ChatGPT. The website may also publish links to third-party tools, trials, or offers as that feature develops. Those providers operate their own sites and privacy practices. ToolMatch does not receive payment data and does not complete purchases on a user's behalf.
The app is intended for general professional and productivity use and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we do not store personal data or maintain accounts, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. If you have any question about this policy, contact us below.
