Editorial Policy

ToolMatch · Last updated: 21 July 2026

This policy explains how ToolMatch approaches app discovery, explanations, comparisons, and future offer information. The goal is useful, understandable information — not a collection of unverified promotional claims.

What we evaluate

Sources and evidence

Information is compiled from public software listings, official product pages, public documentation, and research notes. We prefer first-party sources for product capabilities, pricing, trials, and promotional terms. A recommendation is informational and does not mean ToolMatch has independently certified the provider.

How rankings work

ToolMatch ranks results against the user's stated needs and constraints. Ranking is not a paid placement system. A result can rank highly because it is a close capability match, while still carrying a caveat. The catalog may be incomplete, and the ranking can change as information is updated.

Offers, trials, and discount codes

When offer discovery becomes available, an offer should include its source, the date it was checked, eligibility details, and an expiry date when available. We will not invent a code, present an expired offer as current, or imply that an offer works for every user. Users should confirm the final terms on the provider's own site.

Commercial relationships

If a page contains a paid placement, affiliate link, or other commercial relationship, it will be labeled clearly. Commercial relationships should not change the stated capability fit, caveats, or editorial conclusion. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and updates

Products change. If you find an incorrect description, broken destination, expired offer, or missing disclosure, email [email protected] with the page and the correction. We will review the report and update or remove information when appropriate.
